They pick you up from the airport...
and take you to a local marina, from which it is about a 20-30 minute boat ride along
the coast to Parrot Cay.
Heidi on the boat to Parrot Cay.
It was pretty choppy on the water.
A storm had passed through the day before which left some of the roads, and even some
of the airport, under inches of water.
Me on the boat.
After checking-in (with a glass of champagne)..
...and being given a thumbnail overview of the resort, we started to look around.

Stuart, checking out the beach
Here's the view of Parrot Cay's essentially deserted beach.
It's probably about a kilometer, with nothing on it.
Heidi insisting that I stop taking pictures.
And we've only been here for 24 hours.
Heidi grabbed the camera, and here's what happened.
No trouble getting a shady spot on the beach.
Heidi going for a stroll on the beach, with some weather developing in the background.
Beautiful turquoise Caribbean water.
A view of the hotel's pool.

Our room
Some of the gardens on the Parrot Cay grounds
There is a spa, if you are into that sort of thing.
This is the lobby.
Heidi, lounging poolside.

Another poolside shot.
Yet another poolside shot.
On of the local lizards.
Massive irrigation keeps Parrot Cay lush...
...even though the Turks and Caicos are very dry with sparse vegetation
View of the beach
Heidi, by now sick of me and my new camera
Ditto
This shot turned out well.
Lounging on the balcony of our room.
We can only dream of this kind of vegetation in Ontario.
This is Parrot Cay, taken from the boat on the return trip to Providenciales.
Our captain, for the return trip.
Heading for the plane.
I don't really want to advertise for US Air...
... but I kinda like this picture of our plane
Providenciales from the air.
The shores of Turks and Caicos.
