Fresh from the wildly successful "guy in a hole" feature in the Summer edition of Dispatches, I am back with the Fall 1997 edition. Basically it's just more of the same old same old.
Some of you just couldn't get enough of the "Bald guy" pictures from the last edition of Dispatches....so here for your viewing pressure, is the latest in the series:
Underwater
Those of you brave enough to follow the link to the bald guy, will no doubt have figured out that it was taken underwater. This neat acheivement was accomplished with a $20 disposable camera from Black's. It was a lot of fun trying to get some snaps underwater, because things are so blurry looking through the viewfinder that you never know what the picture will look like until after it is developed. Of the 27 pictures on the roll, about half turned out ok.
Here is a selection of the best
The Rest of the Family
This summer I received an unexpected, but very welcome, email from Marg Tiessen, who asked why I didn't show any pictures of the rest of my family. This is a very good question, and the honest answer is "I don't know". So here to rectify the problem is a picture of my mum and dad, taken at their house this summer.
More camping pictures
An issue of Dispatches wouldn't be complete without at least one or two camping pictures, so here you go.
Ansel Adams Images
Here are some Ansel Adams pics that I picked up on the internet.
London
In September of this year, I travelled to London England on business for a couple of days. Most of the time, [very nearly all of the time], I was cooped up in smokey conference rooms, but I had a couple of hours to kill before leaving for Heathrow on my final day. Here is a random collection of my thoughts from walking around Hyde Park on that day.
These notes were created on the plane on the way back to Canada using my Newton, which I think is the gee-whizziest gizmo I have seen in a long time.
Well, I think that's enough for now. See you in the Winter edition.
