Royal Agricultural Winer Fair

Every year that we go to the Fair, the first place he head for is the petting zoo. There are all kinds of baby farm animals and the kids are able to wander around among them. Things get a little hairy [no pun intended] when the kids try to feed the animals because many of the animals can't wait for the kids to carefully offer them a few goodies, but prefer to push in and try to grab what they can from the little hands. Even though they are small, the animals are quite strong and can easily scare a small child. That being said, things are generally peaceful and the adults end up doing most of the feeding.

Here is shot of Andrew and Colin with a piglet, that they found quite amusing.

The Fair has been at Exhibition Place for years, but the facilities have been woefully inadequate for the crowds which it draws. This year the facilities have been significantly expanded. Here is a picture of the boys in the new part of the building, doing their best imitation of hillbillies in the big city. I don't remember what they are looking at, but it must have been durned impressive.
