Despite our car problems, we made it to the Pinery for one trip this year. Colin joined the Pinery's "Junior Friends" and since the weather had been so hot, we spent more time than usual in the lake. A gentle breeze blew smallish waves into shore, which neither Colin or Andrew found intimidating...if fact they had a blast letting themselves be knocked around a bit by the surf.
The beach at Pinery is surprisingly rocky, but just back from the shore are a series of huge dunes. Andrew and Colin love clambering up and screaming down. I distracted them for a couple of minutes to take this picture.
