31 January 1998 was a momentous occasion here at Chateau Brannan. Young Sir Colin hosted an elegant soire [in the afternoon] for a select group of his peers. The guests came from far and wide. Latham Reader, journeyed from the West, Nicholas Monette travelled from the far East [Oakville that is] and Sam Bradbrook ventured from the South [just down the street].
A fine example was set by 2 experienced party-goers by the names of Lord Andrew and Baron Patrick [older brothers to Colin and Nicholas respectively]. Unfortunately Mark Christoferson was beset by a nasty flu bug and sent his regrets.
Entertainment was provided by the local fool, a.k.a. "Dad" who led the group through an obstacle course that the guests all reported to be "Way too easy", as well as numerous tried and true games like "Luke Skywalker says" [in honour of Colin's obsession with all things Star Wars-ish].
Of course the highlight of the event was the fine cuisine provided by "Mum", with a chocolate cake with dinosaurs AND Smarties on top. This was sheer bliss for the partygoers. Young Sir Colin donned the ceremonial hat and presided over his table of well behaved young gentlemen.
In keeping with tradition, the messy fun couldn't begin until the Sir Colin had completed the ancient blowing ritual. He performed splendidly, as you can see.
