The “stay at home” order has been lifted, so we ventured into the city to see what’s what. Masks were worn at all times during this excursion. The area around the Port Authority Bus Terminal was pretty sketchy. All the tourists and commuters and theatre-goers are gone. The homeless and the drug-dealers and the junkies [...]
So we took a trip out to Governors Island on Memorial Day.
This is an amazing exhibit at the Morgan Library (only 'till next weekend, sorry). It a room full of bits and bobs signed by, or written by, just about every famous person you could imagine from the past 500 years, including: Francis Drake Leon Trotsky Ernest Shackleton Hirohito The Beatles Mata Hari Charles Darwin [...]
Back in NYC, where it was pouring rain, but we shlepped to our favourite Argentine restaurant for dinner.
