Wandering the Metropolitan Museum on Sunday and thinking about how the pieces in the collection got there. It occurred to me that the statues and paintings could well be some of New York’s least willing immigrants.
In the clip on the right, I added one transient. See if you can spot the outlier.
Other weekend highlights:
- Went to The National Theatre of Scotland’s “Macbeth“, with Alan Cumming playing, essentially, all the speaking parts. It’s a very impressive performance that I really liked, but Heidi found lacking in emotion. Max Richter is credited for the music, which I was very much looking forward to. However, I didn’t hear anything new. It was mostly extracts from “Infra” and other works.
- Walked past the building in TriBeCa where parts of the landing gear from one of the 9/11 planes was mysteriously discovered last week. CNN reporter Alina Cho was recording a piece (maybe this one) and asked if we cared to comment. Of course we declined.
