Today is the 24th of May, and its Día de la Memoria por la Verdad y la Justicia (Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice), to honour the victims of the Dirty War during the military dictatorship in the 70’s. More on that later.
But first, we went to the Jardín Botánico Carlos Thays de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, which is just across the street from out apartment. It quite nice and peaceful, but not huge. Lots of cats/gatos, wandering the place and you can “adopt” one of them on Facebook, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Some folks were practicing (doing?) Tai Chi while we were there so it might be a nice spot for an outdoor workout. We’ll see.
