Last year at this time it would not stop snowing: Things are a leetle bit deeferent, this year. The bottom half of the mountain is bare, and the snow on top has thawed and refrozen into an icy mess several times over. Finding skiable areas is a huge challenge.
Colin and I went out for two days and logged 6-7 km of vertical each day. We found the best runs in the afternoon, after the sun had a chance to soften things up in the alpine terrain on Horstman Glacier and Harmony Ridge.
Yesterday, Heidi and Jackie came up for lunch and a photo-op.
Today, we took a rest. Heidi and I had lunch on a patio (it’s that warm), and took a “Vrooman-selfie”.
