It was our first non-working vacation since the pandemic started. We flew to California for some hiking, biking and wine-tasting. First stop was the Sonoma Coast, north of Jenner.
There was a cold wind blowing at about 1000 kph during our visit to Salt Point State Park. But the flowers were in bloom, and the views were great. We hiked the coast and inland up a ridge, then down again. We saw a few people on the coast, then nobody.
Then, a bit further south, past the Russian River to Sonoma Coast State Park. There were more people there, but not many, and there were a few whales (humpbacks, according to a guy with binoculars) visible in the distance. We climbed Peaked Hill for a selfie shot.
Next stop, some wineries in Dry Creek Valley.
