Ernie lived 6 doors down the street from us since we moved to Oakville 19 years ago. A blacksmith by trade, he lived alone, smoked cigars and , until recently, rode his bicycle to the store. A good man is gone.
Passed away peacefully in his home in Oakville, on March 2, 2013, in his 94th year. Predeceased by his wife Lilly. Loving father of Jonna Chalmers and her husband Ralph Kertcher. Cherished grandfather of John Chalmers and his wife Michele. Great grandfather of Jake Kadwell and his wife Krista. Fondly remembered by his step-grandchildren Nicole, Daniel, Sean, and their families.
